Pronounced Like “Carly” but Spelled the Right Way

Carleigh Reynolds has always been making people laugh, and throughout school, jumped at the chance to turn essay assignments into campy video projects. 

While studying at University, she honed her skills and was selected to give a reading of her comedic monologue at a student showcase, solidifying her desire to entertain audiences. "It’s crazy how captivating an audience feels. I love surprising people. Earning laughter like that is addicting."

Continuing her academic education, she pursued a Graduate Certificate in Scriptwriting, during which she produced and starred in two sketch comedy shows, and ultimately developed a portfolio of scripts.

Somewhere in the mix, Carleigh met Ben. "I’d compare it to a blind date. At first we weren’t sure if we’d even get along." They bonded over their shared love of writing and goal of telling great stories.

Together they co-wrote The S.S. SOS, a sci-fi workplace comedy about interns working on spaceship. Combining their writing styles created a brilliant recipe for storytelling. "Ben was and still is the master at story structure and weaving scenes into meaningful arcs. I brought the jokes". Carleigh turned dramatic scenes into laugh-out-loud moments and gave the show its eccentric flavour. “Even though humour can take you to outlandish places, it often reveals real truths. That’s what I try to do in my writing,”. They went on to produce a pilot of The S.S. SOS that began a beautiful producing partnership.
